Slackers Like Free Movies… & So Do Non-Slackers, Too

Here’s at it again, folks. Whether you love him or hate him, Michael Moore is a man who really knows how to get under America’s skin. Moore’s latest film, “Slacker Uprising,” is due out later this month. What’s so special this time around? It will be available for FREE.

“This is being done entirely as a gift to my fans. The only return any of us are hoping for is the largest turnout of young voters ever at the polls in November.” – Michael Moore

The film follows Moore on his US speaking tour in 2004, encouraging young voters to get registered and vote. The younger age bracket is the only age group that John Kerry carried in 2004, and some are hoping that Michael Moore will help fuel the Obama campaign’s mission to get out that young vote as well. Free movie that will probably get more people (from both sides of the fence even) encouraged to get involved? Okay, Michael– count me in.

Oh, and if you’re thinking about accessibility, a DVD version is also available. Moore encourages viewing parties and the endless sharing of this production all across the nation.

so in other words, Moore is helping Obama get elected by giving away a free movie in exchange for a vote for Obama…

    borderline illegal no?

Not quite. The movie is available to anyone and everyone. It’s not like he’s camping out in a voting booth to hand it to you once you pull the lever in the direction of his choosing.

Besides, politicians themselves makes more promises on what they can deliver if you give them your vote than anyone else. What’s really more an incentive to most Americans- a free movie or tax cuts?
